professional printerStrengths: super quality Weakness: too heavy I bought this with my canon 5d package. In this way I will get $500 mail in rebate. The printer price is only $4xx. So basically you make money for purchasing this printer. It can print up to 13x19 inch photo. The average ink cost for such a large photo is about 3-5 dollars. you surely want to purchase good photo papers too which will cost you another 3 dollors each.

Pixma Pro9000 PrinterStrengths: Accurate color, easy install Weakness: None really This printer was easy to set up on the iMac and seems to print very well. I have tried a few prints and they turned out great at 8x10. Could be even better if I did a bit of post printing work. The one thing you need to know is that this thing is huge! I never really paid much attention to the size specs when I ordered it with the mac. I figured it would be about the same size as the last 5...

AMAZING PICTURES!Strengths: Exceptional pictures. True to life skin tone color. Black and White pics are fabulous. Weakness: Huge I did extensive research before purchasing this printer and I definitely made the right choice. The Pro9000 delivers beautiful color and b/w prints especially compared to my i960 printer. The skin tone looks natural and true to life. I love the fact that it can handle so many different paper sizes. Kind of slow printing on the big sizes, but worth the wait for exceptional pictures. It's huge and...

Canon's Pixma Pro 9000 Inkjet PrinterStrengths: Colors, speed, paper transport, value Weakness: Color profiles Great printer - beautiful pictures, a wide variety of supported media from Canon, easy to set up and use, and able to deal with heavy and thick media. Two caveats: 1) With some media (Canon / Hahnemule's Museum Etching and Canon's Fine Art Matte) the printer insists in a 1 inch margin at the top and bottom of each sheet (but not on the sides!). So you can only print a maximum 12.75"x16" image on...

WowStrengths: beautiful prints, quiet, fast, lots of paper choices Weakness: LARGE I have had a canon s9000 for 5 or 6 years and never had a problem. It always performed beautifully and produced amazing prints. When it was time for a new one, I first looked at the canon wide format, the pixma pro9000. Solid reviews were all I needed to convince me this was the printer. OK, so I have only made 1 print on a 13x19. The same print I had made with my s9000. The side-by-side...

PIXMA PRO9000 Inkjet PrinterStrengths: Great prints on various paper types. Weakness: Large size, heavy, fussy front paper load. Printer failed in the first few days. Canon quickly replaced the printer and covered all shipping costs. The printer is a little overly complicated in operation. The driver does provide a wide range of print options. The other software has limited use. No input for memory card printing.

Awesome printer, but overkill for home useStrengths: Quality prints Capable of large photo papers Great build quality Weakness: Large and heavy Cartridge replacements are expensive Not network ready I got this printer in a Canon 5D DSLR bundle. It is the best inkjet printer I've ever used. It is almost as large and heavy as my color laser printer and takes up a lot of space. The print quality is awesome on 4x6 and 8.5x11 with 8 color cartridges system. This printer is capable of larger prints but I don't plan to try as it will be too costly. I would recommend this printer if you are a...

good quality photo printerStrengths: accurate color Weakness: none I bought this printer with the bundle of my 5d camera. Build quality is very good. The color is accurate as fas as I am concerned. I wish the speed of print out will be faster. I would have bought pro9500 if I have extra money. I used this product for almost a month now. I printed the photo in large format and it comes out very accurate,i.e. what I see from the camera is what I get from the...

Canon Pixma Pro9000
THE GOOD: Excellent color and black-and-white prints; fast printing; accepts paper sizes up to 13x19 inches; can clean nozzles for subset of colors. THE BAD: Dye prints dont last as long as those made with pigment inks; large footprint; no card reader. THE BOTTOM LINE: If you dont mind the shorter display life of dye-based prints or the paper choices offered by Canon, the Pixma Pro9000 makes an... Top

Pixma Pro 9000 very impressive
Strengths: excellent color and B&W,no clogging,13'x19"print size, reasonable ink cost.Outstanding value. What's not to like.
Weakness: might prefer pigment based ink,but that is debatable
I was looking for a good Photo printer, that would produce quality prints, equal to or better than "sending them out",without spending a fortune. So far the Canon pixma pro 9000 has done everything claimed. At a price of approx. $300 after $100 canon rebate, the price is half of other comparable printers. The printer uses 6 ink tanks instead of 8,but software emulation provides fine B&W prints. The...
