Sigma 20mm F1.8 EX DG Aspherical RF Super Wide Angle...

Strengths: Sharp, sharp, sharp. Distortion free on 1.3 crop and corners are sharp too.

Weakness: 1.8 is soft but still better than many zooms at f2.8.

I compared it with a Caon 24mm f /1.4L, and chose this over the Canon. The reason was that I could not tell which lens took which pic. In addition, while the USM of the Canon was quick and quiet, it hunted more than the Sigma. Lastly, the 20mm of the Sigma was more useful than the 24mm of the Canon (to me).

Sigma 20mm F1.8 EX DG Aspherical RF Super Wide Angle...

Strengths: Fast f/1.8 aperature, quality build, sharp at f/1.8 and very sharp at f/2.8 and higher

Weakness: Slow and noisy autofocus -- HSM would be much better, must flip switch and slide focusing collar to switch to/from manual focus, 82mm filter

I bought this lens as a replacement for my Canon 20mm f/2.8 USM. The picture quality is on par if not better than the Canon, and the extra stop is a nice advantage. I wish that Sigma would have included HSM autofocusing, since the autofocus can be somewhat slow and noisy when compared to the Canon.
