Love this lens

Strengths: Solid build Good price Quick Focus

Weakness: Heavy to shoot with for very long but for a lens of this size I guess that should be expected.

Just got this lens last week and took it this weekend to photograph a U12 hockey game in a rink that has flourescent and fairly poor lighting. I still have some work to do learning how to really use this lens but I took some great pictures with this lens. The biggest knock on this lens is that it is slow to focus. I did not find this to be the case at all. The other knock on this lens is that the...

My best lens :)

Strengths: sharp pictures, focuses fast

Weakness: heavy

I've been using it for 10 days now and I have to say they are my best lens I've ever had. I was using my friend's Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS and for the half of the price you get almost the same. For me there is no difference. Ok, canon focuses more quiet. Highly recommended.

Great value for the money

Strengths: less expensive than the canon

Weakness: none at this time

This is a great lens for the money. Compared to the Canon version of the same lens, it is a lot less expensive and the image quality is as good. Have read many reviews on this lens prior to the purchase and I am glad to confirm that this lens has a great image quality as stated in many other reviews. The only thing that can improve this lens is the stabilizer.
