Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: No more "nosemarks" on the LCD screen! If you wear glasses, it gives enough space to push your glasses down while peering into the viewfinder over your glasses. Magnifies viewfinder image slightly. Weakness: None, really; worth every penny! This should be built in to 20D! It definitely makes the camera more comfortable to use whether or not you wear glasses. The original diopter adjustment still works with EP-EX15 installed.

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: Makes using the eyepiece easier Weakness: Pops off easily. This unit makes it much easier to use the eyepiece of my 20D without smudging my nose up against the LCD screen. It definitely makes the eyepiece much more comfortable to use. The only problem that I have had is that the extender pops off when I put the camera into my gadget bag. I wish that it was more permanently attached. I hope I don't loose it.

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: Really helpful in keeping nose off LCD screen. Easy to assemble. Original viewfinder eyecup fits over the front of the Eyepiece Extender so rubberized cushioning is still there. Weakness: Can't easily adjust the dioptric knob because Eyepiece Extender is larger than the original viewfinder eyecup and fits too closely against the body of the camera. Didn't know if original eyecup would fit on the extender. The fact that it does is a plus. I wouldn't want to have my face any further away from the camera because it would be too hard to keep the camera steady. A nice, useful, addition that isn't too expensive.

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: Found by accident but a must have item, works quite well on both the 10D and 20D. Weakness: None discovered to date. As a glasses wearer it helps with different viewing angles, without my glasses I can get much closer to the eyepiece and distinguish better detail and focus. I highly recommend it [one of very few items I do] Enjoy

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: This extender allows you to easily sight photos through the view finder without smudging the view screen with your nose. Weakness: Having a longer option available may be nice as well. The EOS 10D is a wonderful camera, but having the viewfinder almost flush with the back of the camera makes sighting a bit uncomfortable. This is a good product that does what is says it will. Extending the viewfinder out a few millimeters from the back of the camera provides for the ability to take photos without having to clean off the view screen every time you use it. It also makes sighting...

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: Great aide with helping to see the viewfinder/screen. Very helpful with the 1.3x digital magnifier. Keeps my face away from the LCD screen to prevent smugging. Weakness: None. What a wonderful add-on to my Canon 10D. I'm glad I was able to uncover this accessory. It is very helpful with framing the photos. And it is a great help with keeping my face off the LCD screen. I highly recommend this accessory to all Canon 10D owners.

Canon EP-EX15 Camera EyepieceStrengths: It gets your nose off the LCD Weakness: Not a very soft eye "cup" I wish that it had the "old" style of eye cups that completely encloses your eye. WOuld be nice. It is a lot better then the standard eye cup it does get your face off of the LCD.

interesting, but hardly worth itStrengths: it does get my nose away from the LCD on my 400D and it is easier to see the shooting info in the viewfinder Weakness: at the cost of image size and some light leaking in around it this is significant when you are standing under a light. It's too long, it could extend by 5mm and that would be enough for me. Enough to let me comfortably put my left eye square to the eyepiece. Too long so the image reduction is too great for what it does, and to top it all off it leaks light at the top. And makes it very hard to use the diopter adjustment. Advertisement

EP-EX15 Tunnel Vision
Strengths: Much more comfortable eye position. Less stray light in viewfinder when composing.
Weakness: Reduced maginfication. 10D already had tunnel vision. This made it worse. 30% smaller. The eyecup is easily dislodged when resting against hip (lost two - glued last one to extender block)
Not sure that it is worth the sacrifice in viewfinder, yet using the eyepiece makes it so much more comfortable to use camera. The initial camera design for 10D/20D should have included this extension and would not have to be as long (like 1D shape). Overall eye cup on these cameras is too small, and view finders are too dark. I really noticed the difference when upgraded to 5D.
